Though I take on a diverse set of clients, I am especially interested in working with Asian Americans who straddle culturally different worlds. This might include the following scenarios:
- you identify as Asian American or AAPI
- you identify as an Asian international transracial adoptee of color
- you identify as Hapa, Asian mixed, multiracial, or biracial
- you identify as a Third World kid
- your parents or grandparents were born in Asia, and you emigrated as a youngster or were born in the U.S.
- you either don’t speak your parents’ language at all, or they don’t speak English
- you have limited affection and emotional support from your family
- you are an Asian American grad student at Cal
- you are a healthcare or legal professional
- you are in a creative profession
- you are dissatisfied with your current work and have a vague notion that you might like to make a change, perhaps you have an untapped creative side
- you are struggling to raise a child/children while simultaneously upholding the duties of your profession
- you are suffering from loss, or grief
- you are in the middle of a big life transition
- you struggle with imposter syndrome (so common in Asian Americans)
—outwardly you are doing well, but it just doesn’t feel like you’re doing enough - you advocate on behalf of others (family members, friends, sometimes even strangers) but you have a hard time advocating for your own needs
and there is so much more to you! No one fits a single profile, there are many variations.
See About Eileen to learn why I might be a good fit if any of the above profiles resonate with you.
